            ACT Testing Accommodations

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR ACT IF YOU NEED TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS!
            • Acquiring accommodations on the ACT is a three-step process: the student must first register for an ACT National Test Date, consent is then provided for the school’s Learning Specialist to upload relevant student information onto ACT’s Test Accessibility and Accommodations System (TAA), and an accommodations decision is made by ACT.
            • As you register, please return the following consent form to the Learning Specialist. By completing this form, you are giving permission that the school may release necessary documentation for review. You can access the form by clicking this .
            • Please note that ACT makes determinations independent of the eligibility process at Saint Ignatius College Prep. It is possible that a student could qualify for access accommodations at school but not on the ACT. To see if your child qualifies for services, please review the set forth by ACT in response to request accommodations as per ADA standards.
Note: Once the student has been approved, they do not have to be re-approved. If the request has been denied or the accommodations given are insufficient, please contact the Learning Specialist for information on the appeal process.
            1. Student should register to create an account through .
            2. After registering for the ACT, pay attention to the following question, "Do you need accommodations to access this test?" Make sure to check, "Yes." To review accommodations checklist before submitting:
              • Go to .
              • View .
              • View .
Once you have completed the online process, you will receive an email that you need to forward to Mrs. Del Toro-McCann at shana.deltoromccann@.
            3. Saint Ignatius will enter, into the TAA, any documentation we have on file to support the request for accommodations. An accommodations decision will be made within three weeks. The Learning Specialist will contact you with ACT's decision.
