              Saint Ignatius College Prep

              Chicago, IL 60677-7003

When mailing tuition payments to the Solution Center address do not include correspondence as this is our bank lockbox address. Student ID numbers MUST BE included on check. Remember your student ID number changes each year. If you have your tuition payment automatically sent from your bank, please make sure to change the account number.

Due to the ever increasing fees associated with using a credit card for payment of tuition, Saint Ignatius College Prep prefers payment by check, money order or cashiers check.

The tuition at Saint Ignatius covers costs common to all students. Tuition covers up to six units of credit per year, as well as costs for counseling, laboratories, lockers, gymnasium, yearbook, school newspaper, participation in sports, clubs and other cocurricular activities.

Since its founding in 1869, Saint Ignatius College Prep has supported its students and their families with financial assistance. Integral to the mission of the school since its earliest days has been a commitment to provide a high quality Jesuit, Catholic secondary education for young men and women from across the Chicago area. The school attempts to make it possible for all qualified students, regardless of family income, to attend Saint Ignatius.

Saint Ignatius College Prep strives to make a Catholic education affordable to students by allocating funds for need-based tuition assistance. $4.5 million has been pledged for the 2019-中国体彩官方app苹果 school year. Approximately 28% of our student body receives tuition assistance.

While we understand that it is a sacrifice for any family to send their children to a Catholic high school, all Ignatius families are expected to make a serious financial commitment to pay their child’s tuition. There is no standard formula for determining the amount of tuition assistance. Each case is considered individually, assessing various factors. In order to maintain tuition assistance, students must maintain a 2.0 GPA.

Children’s tuition, extraordinary family medical expenses, and mortgage are taken into consideration. We understand that family expenses vary depending on the unique circumstances of each family. Therefore, in order to be fair to all applicants, we respectfully request full disclosure of income and ask that families carefully consider their expenses.

The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews requests for assistance from families who have applied for aid. FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment conducts the financial need analysis for Saint Ignatius College Prep. Families applying for tuition assistance will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. The application fee is $30.

For the incoming class of 2024, the application period opens December 7, 2019. The application deadline is February 7, 中国体彩官方app苹果. For the returning classes of 2021, 2022 and 2023, the application period opens January 1, 中国体彩官方app苹果. The application deadline is April 15, 中国体彩官方app苹果. Applicants can apply online by clicking the FACTS quick link at www.. Applications can also be made at https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/41XHY.

For the incoming class of 2024, families are asked to submit copies of your 2018 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules, and your 2018 W-2 forms. You should upload your complete federal tax forms and any schedules when you complete your application at FACTS. For the returning classes of 2021, 2022 and 2023, you will be asked to submit copies of your 2019 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules, and your 2019 W-2 forms. You should upload your complete tax forms and any schedules when your complete your application at FACTS. Families applying for tuition assistance should plan to file their tax returns early.

Tuition Assistance applications are not complete, and will not be considered, without the required tax documentation Regardless of the marital status of the parents, the Tuition Assistance Committee will consider the assets of both parents/guardians before making an award, and will not be bound by the assertion that one parent has a disclaimed responsibility for education expenses. Remarriage of either parent creates a new family unit with new relationships. For this reason, the non-custodial parent (and spouse) must comply with the filing requirements to be eligible for tuition assistance. Both the custodial parent and the non-custodial parent will have to create their own individual FACTS accounts. Emergency tuition assistance is considered on an individual basis. Loss of employment, major illness or catastrophic event qualifies for emergency consideration. Assistance packages come in the form of direct grants. A work-study program for sophomores, juniors, and seniors is also available.

            Coordination with Tuition Assistance

The Tuition Assistance Committee notifies families of the grant they will receive for the coming academic year. The Treasurer’s Office posts 1/10th of the grant to the tuition account each month, August through March. The balance is due from the family on the due date, per tuition policies.
